Tuesday, January 14th ~ Animal Encounter ~ 11 AM ~ Eco Center, Rock Creek ~ Enjoy an up close animal encounter with one of our resident education animals in the nature gallery. The featured animal this week will be a live Alligator Snapping Turtle! It grows ;larger than the common snapper and is on Iowa’s endangered species list. It has some really cool adaptations that you can learn about. We will have it at the center from 9-3 for people to see but there will be a more formal presentation at 11 AM. This is free and open to the public.
