The Whiteside Forum will host guest speaker Leif Kindberg here in Morrison, IL on Thursday April 26, 2018 on “International Development in Africa and Elsewhere: U.S. Foreign Assistance and Why It Matters to America Today.”  Mr. Kindberg is an Associate at Tetra Tech where he supports American investments and partnerships that save lives, reduce poverty and improve countries’ resilience. He has a Masters in Business Administration from the George Washington University and lives in Washington, DC with his wife and son, but also has local ties.

Our event will be held at the Community Room of the Odell Public Library at 307 S. Madison St. in Morrison starting at 6:30pm.  All Forum events are free and open to the public and a question and answer period is integral to the proceedings.  This is the final event of our 2017-2018 season exploring politics.

The Whiteside Forum, established in 1985, is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit community group which sponsors presentations and discussions of issues of importance and interest to the public. Issues chosen for conferences have an international dimension as well as local interest and importance. The organization is supported entirely by individual, special and business contributions and all events are free and open to the public.

About Dave Vickers

Dave has been News Director since 1983 and has been Station General Manager since 1999. Dave has also served on the Board of Directors of the Iowa Broadcast News Association and the Iowa Broadcast Association and has served on the Iowa Freedom of Information Council.
