Police investigating incident with gunshots

Clinton Police confirm gunshots were fired during an incident last night, but no one was injured.

Police report that at about 7:15 last night officers responded to the 300 block of South 6th Street in reference to a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived they did not locate anyone who has been shot or injured.  During the investigation, officers did confirm there was a verbal altercation between multiple individuals, followed by several gunshots.  At this time there have been no arrests made in the case.

The incident remains under investigation.
