Victim recovered from the river on Sunday has been publicly identified

The victim recovered from the river on Sunday by Clinton emergency crews has been identified.

The Clinton Police Department issued a statement this afternoon that identified the victim as 46 year old Mickey L. Littlejohn of Clinton. Police say that no foul play is suspected.

The Clinton Police and Fire Departments plus the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call about 12:50 on Sunday after boaters on the river reported spotting the body. The body was recovered a short time later.

Police state that the family members reported Littlejohn missing about 10 A-M on Saturday and that they last had contact with him on Friday night. Officers attempted to locate Littlejohn immediately following the report he was missing.
