Meetings this week include the Clinton School Board, Clinton City Council and others-read about the schedule here-
Today (Monday) is the regular meeting of the Clinton County Board. At 9:30 the Supervisors will hear a presentation on the Eco Center and at 10 o’clock the board will hear a presentation from the Camanche-DeWitt Substance Abuse Coalition. The meeting convenes at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.
Today (Monday) is also the Committee of the Whole meeting of the Clinton School Board. The meeting has been moved up a week from the regular schedule due to the Mardi Gras Parade next Monday.
The meeting is at 5:30 at the Administration Building.
The board will get an update on the Middle School construction as part of the presentation.
The Camanche School Board is meeting tonight (Monday) at 7:30.
The Eastern Iowa Community College District Board meets Monday in Davenport. The board governs the Clinton Community College and the Scott and Muscatine Community Colleges. Among the items on the agenda is awarding a contract for the renovation for a Physical Therapy Assistant Lab at the Clinton Community College campus.
The Clinton City Council meets Tuesday in a regular session.
Among the regular business action is to approve a list of properties for demolition.
On the Committee Of The Whole agenda the council will reconsider the new health insurance plans for employees. The council failed to approve the plans to go into effect January 2014 for non-bargaining unit employees with the plans to be part of bargaining with the unions for 2015. The recommendation now is to approve the plans for the non-bargaining unit employees for January 2015 and that will help in the process of contract talks. Also on the agenda again is a series of proposals about monitoring underage persons in bars that allow minors.
The Riverbend School Board meets in a special meeting Tuesday at 6:30. The board will review the search for a new Superintendent.
The Clinton City Council’s City Services Committee meets on Wednesday afternoon. The committee will consider the request for proposal for an outside business to develop a new city website, Also on the agenda is the issue of renaming Liberty Avenue to Veterans Memorial Drive.
The meeting is scheduled for 2 P-M.
The Clinton Capital Improvement Program Committee has a meeting on Wednesday. The committee will continue reviewing proposals capital projects to develop a priority list. The meeting is at 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
The Fulton City Council regular business meeting is Wednesday at 5:30 at Fulton City Hall.
