Tentative schedule of governmental meetings this week

The Clinton County Board, Clinton School Board & Clinton City Council scheduled to meet this week-links to agendas are included.The Clinton County Board has their regular Monday morning business session. The meeting will start at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.

The Clinton School Board meets in a Committee Of The Whole session on Monday. The meeting will be at 5:30 at the Administration Center.
The Board will hear an update on the proposed conversion of the Washington Middle School into senior apartments. The developer has an option on the building and is working on financing. The developer recently updated the city council on the plans and that work continues to finalize the details to start work.
The School Board will also hear a proposal for a possible future use of the now un-used Lyons Middle School property.

Tuesday is the meeting day for the Clinton City Council for a business session and a discussion session.
In the business meeting the council may consider the final approval the approval of an ordinance leading to the water shut-off for unpaid sewer fees. The council must suspend the rules and approve the ordinance for a final time and then adopt a set of rules outlined in a separate resolution to start the final steps. City officials have estimated there is over three-million dollars in unpaid sewer bills.

During the Committee Of The Whole the Council is scheduled to review the recent interviews with brokers to help market the railport industrial park.
Library Director Brad Wiles will provide an update the library. The Council will also discuss the proposal for a traffic signal at 13th Avenue North and 14th Street-the entry to the Middle School. The city had hoped the School District would share some of the cost but the district declined and the council will be asked how they want to proceed.

Due to the Labor Day holiday falling on Monday, September 7, 2015 – the first Fulton council meeting of the month will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the regular time of 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 415 11th Avenue, Fulton, IL.
