City Election Filing Has Closed

Filing for candidates to get their name printed on November 3 City Election ballots in Clinton County closed at 5 p.m. Thursday, September 17.  ‘Read more’ to find out who is on the ballot.

There will be a 3-way contest for the post of Clinton Mayor and a contest for the 4th Ward Seat-but two other council positions have unopposed candidates.
The candidates seeking the Clinton Mayor’s position include Ed O’Neill-a current council member – Jennifer Graf a former council member and current Mayor Mark Vulich.
4th Ward council member Paul Gassman is seeking re-election while Judy Luett is also seeking the seat.
2nd Ward council member Lynn McGraw was filling an unexpired term is now seeking a full term on the council and is the only candidate for the spot.
There is one at-large position on ballot. Cody Seeley filed to run for the seat while the John Rowland-who holds that seat did not seek re-election

from the Clinton County Auditor’s office-Link   Names that are currently set to appear on the City Election ballots include

Clinton County Auditor Eric Van Lancker reminded voters and candidates that nomination papers can be inspected and challenged until Tuesday, September 22, at 5 p.m. Van Lancker also said that candidates who did file their papers have up until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, to withdraw their names from the ballot.
