Tentative schedule of governmental meetings this week

County Board, Clinton School Board and DeWitt School Board meet this week (links to agendas included).

The Clinton County Board meets on Monday in a regular session.
The business portion of the agenda starts at 9:15.
At 9:50 the Supervisors are scheduled to get an update from Maintenance Manage Corey Johnson on the parking lot-retaining wall project. A couple of weeks ago there were human remains found at the site and it was determined the site had been a cemetery in the early 1800’s. Apparently most of the bodies had been removed from the site some time ago-possibly in the mid1800’s.
A couple of weeks ago the County Board agreed to do more testing on the site to try to determine if there were graves still at the site and if the county could establish a design for retaining walls to stop the erosion of the site.

On Monday evening the Clinton School Board has a meeting. At the session the Board will hear reports from teachers about their efforts help students and parents about how they promote the district plus a plan to recognize students for volunteering in the community.
The session will start at 5:30 at the Administrative Center.

The Central Community School Board will meet on Tuesday evening in a goal setting work session.
The Board of the DeWitt District has a business meeting on Wednesday.
At that meeting the Central School Board will consider a formal policy to change the name of the district to the Central DeWitt Community School District. Voters at the poll supported the name change.
