Three-lane Roadway

The City Council has approved the conversion of 2nd Avenue South to a three-lane roadway with a center two-way left-turn lane. The conversion is part of the 2nd Avenue South resurfacing project, which is finally set to wrap up over the next couple of weeks. ‘Read more’ for the further details and schedule from the statement form the Engineering Department.

There will be a public information meeting on Wednesday, October 14th, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at the Ericksen Center, located at 1401 11th Avenue North, concerning the construction of project and three lane road striping.

The remaining 2nd Avenue South construction schedule, from South 14th Street to Bluff Blvd, is as follows:

• Intermediate Asphalt Courses – October 1 to October 3
• Asphalt Surface Courses – October 3 to October 6
• Asphalt Intersections – October 6 to October 7
• 3 Lane Road Paint Striping – October 7 to October 9
