A Clinton restaurant is being honored one of the best in the state for tourism.

The Iowa Tourism Office and the Travel Federation of Iowa presented 27 awards recognizing excellence in tourism at the 2015 Iowa Tourism Conference. ‘Read more’ to find out what local business is being honored.

Rastrelli’s Restaurant was named the ‘Outstanding Dining Business in a metro area. Owner-Operator Mike Rastrelli says it is honor to win the award.  He said they were “proud of that” and “happy we are able to receive that”  Rastrelli said it was a tribute to the customers and friends who have supported them over the years.

President of the Travel Federation of Iowa Carla Eysink said “The Iowa Tourism Awards are the highest honor given in our state’s tourism industry,” adding “The winners are truly the best of the best.”

Awards to both metro and rural areas were made in 13 award categories. The Outstanding Dining Business in a rural area was the Bluff Lake Catfish Farm of Maquoketa.
