November has been wet this year-

November 2015 now has two of the top six 24 hour rainfall totals in Clinton weather records dating to the late 1800’s. ‘Read more’ for the details.
Clinton area weather observer Jim Blaess says the rain that start Thursday morning and ended about 2:30 Friday morning total 2.31inches. He says that became the 5th highest 24 hour period precipitation total.
Earlier in the month there was 2.07 inches of rain in a 24 hour period on the 17th  That had been the 5th highest but is now in 6th with this recent total.

Blaess says the total precipitation for the month is 6.49 inches (Friday).  That compares to the normal of 2.12 inches of precipitation. So far, Blaess says  November 2015 is the 2nd most precipitation for the month. The highest precipitation total in November was in 1934 with 7.76 of an inch.

The snow fall a couple of weeks ago totaled 7 inches according to Blaess. He says that total is 3rd most snow in a 24 hour period in a November back to the late 1800’s.
