It’s been a wet month and wet year-so far

Monday’s precipitation was measured as two inches of sleet by Clinton area weather observer Jim Blaess.
He says it was made up sleet, freezing rain and rain but no snow.

The moisture total, according to Blaess was just over one-point-one inches.

That precipitation brings the December total to 4.6 inches. He says that’s makes the month the 3rd wettest December in records to 1878.
The year-to-date precipitation is now just over 49 inches and Blaess says that makes 2015 the 3rd wettest year in the records to 1878.
