DXers hear KROS in Finland

KROS has recently received a couple of notices from DX-ers who picked up the signal-‘read more’ to read the communication and hear what they pick up.

I had the pleasure of listening to KROS broadcasting on AM 1340 on the 26th January 2016. Please find enclosed audio clip and the following program details:

4:43 AM: ” and join us on Family Radio, Saturday at 11 on KROS”

If you find it to be correct, I would greatly appreciate a brief e-mail reply to verify the audio clip if possible.

My AM radio was Perseus SDR receiver and I used 0.7 mile beverage antenna towards your location in Aihkiniemi/Inari cottage here in Northern Finland, during my stay there was a freezing cold of -22F.

Thank you for kindly taking the time to read my mail.

I will be looking forward to your reply.
Your Faithfully,

Dear Sir
I am 61 years old and have been an eager radio enthusiast
(DX-er) for over 40 years now. During my last trip to
Lapland, northernmost part of Finland  I was able to
listen to your station KROS-AM on 1340 kHz AM. See the
attached mp3 clip below at 12.00am CST on January 22nd 2015 (station identification):

This communication indeed took place with a radio receiver,
not via Internet. I was using a computer controlled radio
and a long wire about 3000 ft. I hope you can check the
attached mp3 recording and if you find that it was your
program, please drop me a line as a verification of my report.
Wishing you and your staff all the best.
