Auditor’s Office Open Saturday for 2016 Primary Election Voting

Clinton County Auditor and County Commissioner of Elections Eric Van Lancker is reminding voters his office at the Clinton County Administration Building, 1900 N. 3rd St., Clinton, IA, will be open Saturday, June 4, ahead of the June 7 Primary Election.  ‘Read more’ for the announcement on voting.

The Auditor’s Office will be open on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The office will be open for absentee voting and any other election business.

Van Lancker also reminds voters that they can vote absentee at his office during regular business hours through Monday, June 6, 2016, for the Primary Election.

Van Lancker also encourages those who have mailed ballots to place them in the mail to be returned to his office as soon as possible. He said returning the ballots earlier could avoid issues with postmarks if the ballot is received after Primary Election Day. If the ballot is received after Election Day without a postmark or with a postmark after Monday, June 6, the ballot cannot be counted according to the Code of Iowa.
