The group plans daily marathons over a section of the U-S. The Heartland series features marathons and half-marathons on the Illinois Riverfront tomorrow (Wednesday) and along the Clinton riverfront on Thursday. (links included for more information)
This is the 3rd year in a row the group has held their event in Clinton and second consecutive year for Fulton.
The runners will started the series Sunday in Bryan, Ohio and then Monday in Niles, Michigan and today in Potato Creek State Park in Indiana. Then in Fulton Tuesday then Clinton on Thursday and on to Sparta, Wisconsin on Friday and Albert Lea, Minnesota on Saturday.
After today’s run the runners will be arriving in the area and meet at Rastrelli’s for a group dinner-if they choose. Tomorrow the pre-Clinton race dinner will be at the Candlelight.
