There were no locally contested contests in the Tuesday primary election.

The local ballots were set with the primary electons – read more for details and link to the unofficial vote totals.

Elections Commissioner Eric Van Lancker reports the voter turnout in Clinton County was about 3%.

On the Democratic side – Mary Wolfe will be on the ballot for the Clinton State Representative race,  The Democrats did not have a candidate on the primary ballot for the state house seat representing much of the county outside of the immediate Clinton-Goose Lake area.

John Staszewski will be running for re-election to the County board, Eric Van Lancker for Auditor and Rick Lincoln will be running for sheriff.

On the Republican side-no-one sought to be on the ballot to run for theClinton area house seat while Norlin Mommsen was not opposed within the party for other area house seat.

Tom Determann will be on the November ballot for supervisor, and Laura Kauffman will be running for auditor.

The republicans did not have a Candidate on the primary ballot to run for sheriff.
