How much rain?

In the storms that moved through the area on Tuesday and overnight Clinton area weather observer Jim Blaess says he recorded 2.1 inches of rain.

He says the totals came in several different short periods with heavy rainfall.

Blaess says that brings the June precipitation to 2.95 inches compared to the normal for the entire month of 4.60.

The Clinton area weather observer added that the year to date total is now 14.77 of an inch which is about two inches below the normal for the entire first six months.
