Suspect Sought

Clinton Police are asking the public for information about suspect involved in a Monday shooting incident.

Monday afternoon Police and Fire crews were called to the 400 block of 7th Avenue South on a report of man being shot.  When they arrived the emergency personnel found a 37 year old male in front of 430 7th Avenue South with a single gunshot wound.  He was transported to the Mercy Hospital for treatments.  The injury was described as not life threatening.

The identity of the victim is not being released at this tie.

Police described the suspect as a black male, with a thin to medium build about 5 feet 10 inches tall with short curls or ‘dreads.’  Police say he was wearing a Cubs baseball cap at the time and fled the area on foot.
