A new water issue at the Bluff Elementary School

Due to the heavy rains occurring last night, custodians discovered water had pooled in the teacher’s workroom and the LRC teacher supply room.   ‘Read more’ for the rest of the note sent home with students today from the Bluff SchoolTo determine the cause of this water seepage, the drywall was pulled from the wall.  At that time, custodians found a crack in the concrete wall had allowed moisture to generate the same contamination as earlier reported.  These affected library areas are removed from student traffic.  As the district wants to be prudent and eliminate any potential health issues for people with chronic respiratory problems, the entire library at Bluff will be closed until the contaminated material is removed.  The LRC wall that was previously affected is now dry as that matter has been resolved.  Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve all of these issues as quickly and safely as possible.
