The Clinton School Board meets Monday evening in a business session.

The board will hold a public hearing for the school calendar for the 2017-2018 school calendar.  The proposal includes a change in the graduation day.

The tradition has been for C-H-S graduation on the Sunday of the Memorial Day weekend – while the initial proposal would be for the spring 2018 graduation to be on the Friday evening of the Memorial Day weekend.  That has been amended with the calendar included in the information packet changing graduation back to the Sunday of the holiday week.

Following the hearing, the board will consider whether to approve that calendar.

The meeting is at 5:30 at the school’s Administrative Center.

Tuesday will be the meeting day for the Clinton City Council.  The session will start at 7 P-M at city hall.

The council will consider several general actions during the session.

During the Committee Of The Whole session the council will review some proposed changes in an ordinance governing street and sidewalk work.  It’s noted that in 2012 the council approved some ordinance changes on the first reading, but never gave 2nd and 3rd reading approval.  Some of those updates and others are included.  Some of the changes deal with excavations for street work without proper city inspections.
