Contract details proposed with new City Administrator

A Committee Of The Whole session has been added to this morning’s end of the year Clinton City Council meeting. ‘Read more’ for details on the proposed contract with the proposed City Administrator

A draft of a contract with Matt Brooke as the new City Administrator will be discussed.  He was the choice after an interview process on Saturday with five finalists.  Details were negotiated over the weekend and will be presented to the council.

Brooke would start work in Clinton on January 9th and earn a year salary of 140-thousand dollars.  He would be eligible for a 5-thousand dollar increase after a positive 180 day job performance review.

The council will also consider keeping Dick Schrad, who has been the interim City Administrator, for a period of time for a transition.  He would have a title of Deputy City Administrator.  Schrad is a part of the firm hired for the search.

The council will also consider setting a meeting to formally approve the contract.

The business session will start at 9:30 at City Hall with the Committee Of The Whole Session held after the business session.
