Top candidates for Clinton School Superintendent announced (AEA led the search and issued the statement)

Three candidates have been selected as the finalists to interview for the Clinton School District’s top job.

The Clinton School Board this week selected candidates to consider to replace outgoing Superintendent Deb Olson-who announced her retirement earlier this year.

The candidates are Gary DeLacy, superintendent, Danville Community School District;

Larry Hunt, superintendent, Dike-New Hartford Community School District;

and Laurie Noll, superintendent, Fairfield Community School District.

The finalists were selected among 20 applicants and will now take part in a comprehensive interview process, which includes conversations with district staff, a community group, and with the board of education.

Interviews will be conducted March 6, 7, and 8. The Board hopes to make its decision soon after the interviews with the new superintendent assuming duties on July 1.

The candidates will be meeting with panels of administrator, teachers, the public and the school board during the process.

The schedule for the School Board to meet to make a decision has not been determined

The district hired the Mississippi Bend Area Education Association to lead the search process.
