Snow!

The snowfall thru late morning (Monday) totaled 3.5 inches according to Clinton Area Weather Observer Jim Blaess.

He says the normal snow fall in March is 3.1 inches.

Blaess says snow in March is not unusual and pointed to nearly nine inches recorded in 2013 and 5.5 inches in March of 2014 as examples of significant snowfall in the month.

The weather observer also pointed out that a week the area was hit by thunderstorms and tornadoes as an example of the variable weather
