County unemployment drops in May while rate in City is stable

The unemployment rate in Clinton dropped from April to May – but the factors involved in the rate – the labor force, employed and unemployed all dropped.

The statistical report from the Iowa Workforce Agency shows the unemployment rate in the County dropped from 4 percent in April to 3.9 percent in May.  That was also down from the May 2016 rate of 4.6 percent.

In the city of Clinton the unemployment rate was stable at 4.5 percent from April to May.
