Local unemployment rates go up in June

The local unemployment rate went up from May to June – but is down from last year.

The Iowa Workforce Development Agency report shows the Clinton County June unemployment rate at 4.3 percent.  That’s up from four percent in May.  In June 2016 the unemployment rate was 5.2 percent

In the city of Clinton the unemployment in June was five percent and that compares to 4.6 percent in June.
