The Clinton County Board has their regular Monday morning business session.

The Supervisors are scheduled to appoint a new Human Resource Director for the county.  Dawn Aldridge is named in the resolution and would be paid 70-thousand dollars a year.  Supervisors conducted interviews with several finalists a few weeks ago.

The meeting starts at 9:15 this morning (Monday) at the County Administration Building.

The Clinton City Council will be meeting on Tuesday evening.

It is the regular first Tuesday of the month Committee Of Whole Session-but a business session has been added to the schedule due to the cancellation of the meeting last because of the death of the husband of Council Member Lynn McGraw.

At the business session the council is expected to take up the issue of compensation for the members and the mayor.  The measures had been approved at two previous meetings, but at the last meeting the measures ended up in 3 to 3 tie vote.  Some members wanted to send the issue back for more discussion but those moves also had tie votes.  By council rules the measures were moved to the next meeting for consideration.

At the Committee Of The Whole session the council will hear a proposal from City Engineer Jason Craft to apply for grants to build ‘round-a-bouts at the intersections of the Mill Creek Expressway and 13th Avenue North and 16th Street Northwest.

The council meeting will convent at 7 o’clock Tuesday evening at City Hall.
