Phone Lines Out at Clinton County Administration Building

A telephone line leading into the Clinton County Administration Building was cut Wednesday morning during work on the parking lot at the facility. (Read more-for official statement)

The damaged line is preventing telephone calls to be received or sent from the building. County officials report that email to the offices in the building is functioning.

Officials with the phone company are not sure how long the repair will take. However, it is anticipated the phones will be out of service through some of the day Thursday, October 19.

Offices located in the Clinton County Administration Building include: Auditor, Veterans Administration, Human Resources, Recorder, Treasurer, Engineer, Mental Health Community Assistance, IT and both City and County Assessors. Officials also noted that vehicle registrations can not be processed due to the phone issues.

Clinton County will continue to update this situation through its Facebook page and web site at www.clintoncounty-ia.gov.
