Camanche School Superintendent Tom Parker said they had  drug-sniffing dogs go through our middle and high schools, which results in the classrooms being locked-down so no students are in the halls while the search is going on.

Parker added there was no specific location being searched.  He said it was  a general, cooperative effort between law enforcement and the schools to meet the goal of providing our community with a safe, drug-free environment in our schools.

Parker said there were no drugs found
