October ended as one of the warmer and wetter months in local weather records

Clinton area weather observe Jim Blaess says the overall temperature was just over 56 (56.5) degrees.  He says that was about three (3.6) degrees above the normal (52.9 degrees) for the month of October.

Blaess says that makes October 2017 the 21st warmest October in local records to 1879.

Last October was the 6th warmest in the those records.

The Clinton weather observer says the total will be the 28th most precipitation in October since 1878.

Blaess says in November you can expect just over two inches of precipitation which includes about one and a half inches of snow.

He did point out that it was 20 years ago we had the record snowfall in November with about ten (10.3) inches of snow in 1997.

Blaess says the average high on November 1st in 57 and average low is 38. Those drop to 40 and 24 by November 30th.
