Tentative schedule of governmental meetings this week

The Clinton County Board, Clinton School Board, Fulton City Council & Clinton City Council scheduled to meet

The Clinton County Board has its regular Monday morning session.  That meeting starts at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.

At the session-Clinton County Attorney Mike Wolfe is scheduled to discuss the opioid lawsuit being led by the Iowa Association of Counties.  Last week the Supervisors declined to join in the action, but indicated they would discuss the issue again if there was a request to consider it.

The Clinton School Board meets this evening (Monday) in a regular session.

Among the items for consideration is the proposal to sell the Henry Sabin school building and property.  Jorge Landa Rodriguez offered one-thousand dollars for the building.  He would locate his boxing club at the building.

The meeting is at 5:30 at the school district’s Administrative Center.

The Fulton City Council meets tonight (Monday).

Among the items on the agenda is a special recognition of the service of retiring Police Chief Jim Rhoades and the swearing in new Police Chief David Bartels.

The council is also scheduled t0 vote on hiring a new city administrator.  Former City Administrator Randy Balk has been serving as an interim administrator since the resignation of Ed Canon from the post.

The Fulton City Council will also be meeting in a Committee Of The Whole Session.

The Clinton City Council meets on Tuesday evening in a regular business session and discussion session.

During the discussion session the council will hear a report on the Master Plan for the city’s parks that is under development by a consultant.
