Water Main Break/Boil Order in Clinton

Important message from Iowa American Water.

A 16″ water main break has occurred in Clinton, resulting in a precautionary boil water advisory. During this boil advisory, customers should bring their water to a rolling boil for 1 minute before using water for drinking or cooking until further notice. Water is OK for bathing, washing and other common uses.

This precautionary boil advisory is being issued in accordance with Iowa Department of Natural Resources regulations as a precaution to protect customers. This boil advisory is expected to be in effect for approximately 24 hours or until water quality tests confirm that it meets all state and federal water quality regulations.
