Clinton’s World War One statue is among those being honored by a World War One agency,

The United States World War One Centennial Commission recognized the statue on the riverfront as one of the agency’s 100 cities- 100 memorials recognition. Link included to the recognition website.

The statute honoring World War One Veterans was created by Leonard Crunelle around 1930.  The recognition comes with a matching grant.

The local Historic Preservation Commission has led a recent effort to restore the statue and that process is in place with another agency.
