Tentative Schedule of governmental meetings this week

The Clinton County Board, Clinton and Camanche School Boards and Clinton City Council to meet this week. (links to agendas included)

The Clinton County Board has a regular Monday morning session.  The Supervisors will be meeting at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.

The Clinton School Board has a Committee Of The Whole Session on Monday.  The Board will meet at 5:30 at the School Administration Building.

The Board will hear updates on the propose Hall Of Honor to honor Clinton School Alumni.  A presentation on the Iowa Big program is also scheduled.  The program has local business partner with the school to have students do various real-world projects.

The Camanche School Board also meets Monday evening at 7:30.

The Clinton City Council meets on Tuesday evening.  The business session starts at 7 PM with the Committee Of The Whole following.

Among the business items is a public hearing on a proposal for the city to provide another 150-thousand dollars to aid in the completion of the Washington school building into senior apartments.  The additional funds would be paid over a ten year period.  At an earlier session-the motion to hold the public hearing was approved on a 4 to 3 vote with council members Sean Connell, Codey Seeley and Seth Odor opposed.

At the Committee Of The Whole session to council is scheduled to continue the discussion about combining the City Assessor’s Office with the County Assessor’s Office.  The person hired as the City Assessor in December has resigned the position to take the job as Clinton County Assessor prompting the discussion.
