Unemployment Rate Drops

The local unemployment rate dropped from April to May according to the latest Iowa Workforce Development Agency report.  (links included to detailed data)

In Clinton County the unemployment rate dropped from 3 percent in April to 2.8 percent in May.  While the number considered employed dropped the number in the workforce dropped by a larger amount.

In May of 2017 the unemployment rate was 3.9 percent

In the Clinton the unemployment rate dropped from 3.2 percent to 3.1 percent in May.

There was a similar pattern of the number of people considered employed dropped the number in the workforce dropped by a larger amount.
