Latest update on FF Adam Cain issued through Clinton City Hall

Fire Fighter Adam Cain’s condition is still critical but continues to slowly improve.  ‘Read more’ for the official statementAdam is breathing on his own after the ventilator was removed yesterday 1/16/19.  He is scheduled for surgery on one of his broken arms this morning 1/17/19.  The family asks for continued prayers and thanks everyone for all the support.  It truly has been incredible!

The incident remains under investigation by the Iowa Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).  The Fire Department and City representatives will refrain from any comments or discussion on the incident until the official investigation has been completed.

Please continue to pray for the Hosette and Cain families, as well as the all our firefighters and their families.
