U.S. Census Bureau announces 2018 population estimates for Iowa cities

The communities in Clinton County lost population in the latest Census Bureau reports. The report breaks down population estimates compared to the 2010 official count.

The City of Clinton dropped from a census count population of 26,880 to an estimated 25,184 in the July 2018 estimate.

The number of people lost led the 943 entities in the report.  Clinton is listed as the 18th largest city in the state.  Burlington was 19th and Marshalltown was 17th.

Camanche population fell from 4,456 in 2010 to an estimated 4,296 in July 2018.  In DeWitt the estimated population in July 2018 was 5,177 and that was down from 5,296 in the official count in 2010.
