Local Unemployment Rate Rises Slightly

The local unemployment rate was up slightly from April to May.

Figures from the Iowa Workforce Development Agency shows a Clinton County unemployment rate at 2.8-percent in May.  That compares to 2.7-percent in April.  In May of 2018 the county unemployment rate was 2.7-percent.

In the city of Clinton the unemployment rate in May was 3-percent and up from the

2.9 percent in April
