On 7/26/2019 at 1:33 p.m, Clinton County Deputies were called to a single vehicle accident on 292nd street at 350th ave, 3 miles west of Folletts. Upon arrival, Deputies found a single vehicle had left the roadway and rolled into the ditch. There were three occupants of the vehicle and a passenger had been ejected from the vehicle. All occupants were transported to Genesis Hospital for treatment and the passenger then transported to The University of Iowa Hospital. The passenger later died as a result of her injuries from the accident.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Low Moor Fire and Rescue, Genesis Ambulance, and the Iowa State Patrol. The name of the decedent is being withheld pending notification of the family. The accident is under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
