Governmental Meetings This Week

The governmental meeting schedule this week includes the Clinton County Board, Clinton School Board, Fulton City Council and Clinton City Council.

The Clinton County Board has the regular Monday morning meeting.

The session begins at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.  Among the items on the agenda is the report from the Seventh Judicial Chief Judge Marlita Greve

The Clinton School Board has the monthly Committee Of The Whole Session this evening.

At the 5:30 session the main issue is a presentation from the task force on the proposed new high school renovation plan and process to seek bond approval.

The meeting is at the School’s Administrative Center.


The Fulton City Council is meeting Monday evening.

The business meeting starts at 5:30 at City Hall with the discussion session to follow.

The Clinton City Council is meeting Tuesday in a regular business session and committee of the whole session.

The council will consider the formal approval of the City Administrator’s recommendation to name current Battalion Commander Joel Atkinson as the new Fire Chief and Battalion Commander Jeff Chapman as the Assistant Chief.  The moves fill in the ranks for the Chief Mike Brown who is retiring.

During the Committee Of The Whole Session the Council will hear an update from the firm hired to help the city promote a positive image on social media.
