Six potential excursion boat stops in 2020

The flooding along the Mississippi this summer limited the river excursion boat stops-but more stops are planned next summer.

The excursion boats had several stops planned, but were only able to make a Clinton stop one time due to flooding issues.

Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Mary Seeley said six stops in Clinton are tentatively planned in 2020.

Seeley said the feedback from the visitors to Clinton is positive.

The new excursion boat – the The Countess – Seeley described as similar to the Dutches that’s stopped before.  She says the smaller boat makes shorter trips on the river.
