WHITESIDE COUNTY AIRPORT YOUNG EAGLE AIRPLANE RIDES RESCHEDULED

(information and imaged supplied by the Whiteside County Airport

The Whiteside County Airport along with EAA Chapter 75 – Quad Cities has rescheduled the free airplane rides for kids ages 8 through 17 for Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 8:30 – 12:30p.  Parents that registered their child or children for an airplane ride should receive an email from the EAA Young Eagles Coordinator, Bob Thomas.  If you registered your child, weren’t on the waitlist, and haven’t received an email, email the Whiteside County Airport Board President, Drew Wilkens, at dwilkens@whiteside.org for coordination.

Despite the rain this past Saturday, 25 kids were able to take flight at the Whiteside County Airport.  195 kids were registered, with 105 on a waitlist, or standing by for extra flight slots.  Event coordinators plan to hold more Young Eagles Flight Rallies in the near future.  For more information about the EAA Young Eagles program, visit www.eaa.org.
