Sisters of St. Francis limit public access to the Canticle and cancel events due to COVID-19 outbreak

Effective immediately, the Sisters of St. Francis, Clinton, Iowa, will be implementing recommendations from the Iowa Department of Public Health and Center for Disease Control in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

General public access to The Canticle, including the Chapel, is being restricted. Visits from family members, friends, and non-essential health care personnel are no longer permitted. Daily and weekend Masses, as well as Lenten Vespers, will be held for in-house residents only.

To curb the spread of the virus, the following public events have been canceled:

  • Thursday, March 19 – Social Justice Film: “The Invisible Class” at The Canticle
  • Tuesday, March 24 – Community Housing Collaboration Meeting at The Canticle
  • Tuesday, March 24 – Peace Soup at Prince of Peace Parish Hall
  • Tuesday, March 31 – Peace Soup at Prince of Peace Parish Hall
  • Monday, April 13 – Associates Meetings at The Canticle
  • Tuesday, April 14 – Anti-Human Trafficking Meeting at The Canticle
