Concerning COVID-19 and precautions the Clinton Humane Society will be taking. It will remain business as usual as all of the animals need taken care of and still need to find loving homes. We will not be closing to the public, however we have posted signs all over the shelter to please sanitize your hands upon entering the building and when you leave. As always please sanitize between each animal that you visit with as well. ACCORDING TO THE CDC, THERE IS CURRENTLY NO KNOWN REASON TO BELIEVE THAT ANY ANIMALS, INCLUDING PETS IN THE UNITED STATES CAN SPREAD COVID-19. THE CDC HAS ALSO NOT RECEIVED ANY REPORTS OF PETS OR OTHER ANIMALS BECOMING SICK WITH COVID-19. Our staff is taking extra precautions with extra hand washing, disinfecting work spaces several times per day, door handles, phones, etc. This of course is over and above our daily kennel and shelter cleaning. Please be mindful to not visit the shelter if you are feeling sick in any way. We appreciate your help and patience navigating through this time.
