The Camanche City Council will review the ‘vicious dog ordinance.’ A proposal was discussed at last night’s (Tuesday) council meeting to ban pit bull dogs. City Manager Tom Roth says the council decided instead to review the ordinance first and determine if any changes need to be made.
Roth said the architect retained by the city to help in a study on city hall facilities will be reviewing the now vacant former Camanche Pharmacy building. Roth says the initial review indicated renovating the current city hall is not cost effective and other options are being considered. The vacant building is for sale and Roth says they will get some cost estimates on renovating the building.
The Camanche City Administrator says there wasn’t much interest among the council on moving to electronically handling the agenda and meeting materials using Ipads.
