Meetings this week

The Riverbend School Board, Fulton City Council and the Camanche School Board plus the  Camanche City Council meet this week-check out the details

Monday will be the meeting date for the Riverbend School Board. The session starts at 6:30 at the District Office in Fulton.
The board will hear various reports with several of those relating to the start of school.
The Riverbend Board also has a closed session planned that will deal with personnel actions.

The Fulton City Council meets on Monday-August 18th. On the agenda are a couple of topics related to the idea of a medical cannabis cultivation center in the community. A firm has asked for the city support to establish the growing center. One item on the agenda is a resolution of support for the proposal from firm Nu-Med Farmacia. A second topic is a request from the company to open a medical cannabis dispensary in town. There is land on the eastern border of Fulton along Highway 136 that fits the requirements and the firm has an option to purchase the land. There is no action recommended and the topic is for discussion purposes at the meeting.
The Fulton City Council meeting is at 5:30 Monday evening at city hall.

The Camanche School Board meets on Monday evening, August 18th at 7:30.
The board will consider setting May 17th 20015 for graduation. There are several personnel actions also on the agenda.

The Camanche City Council will consider the status of the former Camanche Pharmacy building. The city purchased the building with a plan to renovate it for a new city hall. When a new council took office at the first of the year they rejected the remodeling bid and have taken no further action on what direction the city should take with the building.
The Camanche City Council meets on Tuesday August 19th at 6 P-M at the city hall.
The council will also consider how to proceed with proposals from consulting engineering firms.
