How much rain?

That overnight rain totaled j2.14 inches by mid-morning (Wednesday) for official weather observer Jim Blaess.
He says that total brings the month’s precipitation 3.49 inches for the first ten days.


Blaess says precipitation for the month is already more than the average for the month which is 3.03 inches.

For the year-to-date the precipitation total is now 29.19 inches which is more than the normal thru the September of 27.60 inches.

Blaess added that last year in September the rain was 2.38 inches.He also pointed out the hot weather in September 2013.  Last year on September 9th there was a record high of 98 and another record high on the 10th of 97.  He said the back-to-back record highs in 2013 was the first time there were record highs two days in a row in a September since 1953
