Sunday’s rain was more than half the month’s normal total

Sunday’s rain totaled more than recorded for the entire month of August.  Clinton area weather observer Jim Blaess reported 1.67 inches of rain on Sunday.

The normal precipitation for September is just over three inches.

He says THAT’S THE most precipitation in a 24 hour period since April 17th when there was just over 2.1 inches of rain.

During the August Blaess says there was one-point-one inches of rain.
