Police investigate a report from a local mother about people in a car outside their home when her son was outside

Clinton Police were alerted to an incident yesterday by a mother who asked police to check their neighborhood after an incident between her son and some unknown persons. This occurred in the one-thousand block of
13th Avenue South.

Clinton Police report the call was received about 4:04 Tuesday afternoon. The report stated the boy had gone outside to get the newspaper when someone in a vehicle was waving their arms and called to him. He went back inside and there was no contact or conversation between the parties.
The boy told his mother about the incident and she looked outside and did not recognize the vehicle and that’s when she called police.
Police say there were no other reports of anything similar occurring yesterday afternoon. One vehicle was checked but police say there was no connection to the reported incident.
