Clinton has been as high as 105th in 2013 and as low as 187 in 2006.
Clinton Regional Development Corporation Director Mike Kirchoff says he doesn’t follow the rankings. He says it’s the ranking is based on a ten year moving average and if you have one bad year the ranking drops off. Kirchoff says there’s a lot of data behind the rankings and it’s hard to understand the number and methodology.
He says you would have to have a good understanding of what happened over the period of time. Kirchoff says he believes a shorter term view gives a better picture. The CRDC head says over the past two to three years there has been positive momentum and there will be positive momentum in 2015 and there’s we have the opportunity to build on the successes of the past couple of years.
