Tentative schedule of governmental meetings this week

The Fulton City Council & Clinton City Council are scheduled to meet this week-

The Fulton City Council has a regular business session on Monday evening. The council will hear an update from the Chamber of Commerce and the efforts of the organization to fund operations without a city subsidy. The Fulton council will also consider a request from Robert Miller to expand his business in the Industrial Center. The business is ‘Hobby Machine.”
The meeting is at 5:30 at the city hall.

The Clinton School’s Marketing Committee meets on Monday at 6 P-M. Anyone can join the committee.

The Clinton County Board meets in their regular session on Tuesday morning.
The supervisors will consider hiring an architecture firm to address the Administration Building’s retaining wall area and redesigning the parking lot.
Clinton County Attorney Mike Wolf wants to discuss planned tours of the Courthouse during stops of the American Queen excursion boat this summer.

The Clinton City Council has a Committee Of The Whole Session on Tuesday evening. The council will discuss the issue of traffic signal at the intersection of 13th Avenue North and North 14th Street – review calendar parking and applying for a D-N-R grant that could be used with a couple of the projects with Augustana College.
The meeting will be at 7 P-M on Tuesday.

Tuesday is the meeting day for the Camanche City Council. The session will be at the city hall at 6 P-M.
The council will consider appointing Brian Donnelly fill the term of Tom Lonergan as city attorney. Lonergan recently retired.


On Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock the Clinton City Plan Commission will have a regular meeting.

The Riverbend School Board has set a special meeting for May 6th.

The board will consider some updates to the security entry systems at Fulton Elementary School, the Pre-School, Middle School and High School. The board will also consider filling a vacancy on the board.

The meeting is at 6:30 at the District Administration Center in Fulton.
